When AbacusNext, the maker of the AbacusLaw and HotDocs products, announced a new investor private equity firm Thomas H. Lee (THL) Partners last March, it signaled an increasing focus on SaaS products and alignment with THL’s other technology sector investments. Now, AbacusNext is furthering that focus, bringing in a new CEO with fintech and technology sector experience.

Today, AbacusNext announced that Keri Gohman will be the company’s new chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors, effective February 1, 2022. Gohman joins AbacusNext from Bain Capital Ventures, where she focused on the firm’s fintech and B2B SaaS software portfolios with companies such as Homebase, Pleo and Passport. Prior to Bain, Gohman was president and chief platform business officer at SaaS accounting solution Xero, and also has leadership experience at Capital One, Intuit, and General Electric Financial Assurance.
