Today, legal management provider BigHand announced it has acquired business intelligence and financial analytics company Iridium Technology. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The deal provides BigHand the opportunity to further expand its law firm offerings, which currently include business intelligence, budgeting productivity and document tools, among others.

In a press release announcing the acquisition, Rob Stote, managing director of profitability at BigHand, noted that "BigHand and Iridium together now offer a complete range of BI, profitability financial management, time recording, matter pricing and analytics solutions to the legal industry. The two teams working together will ensure law firms get enhanced access to extensive domain expertise and feature-rich products."
