The e-discovery market continues to grow. Earlier this month, a press release announced the launch of e-discovery service provider Veralocity, a sibling company of fellow provider Veristar. Former UnitedLex litigation and investigations senior vice president Dan Panitz was also announced as Veralocity's inaugural CEO.

While Panitz said he enjoyed his time at UnitedLex, he noted Veralocity was an opportunity to hone in on driving e-discovery efficiency for clients. At Veralocity, Panitz explained that his team will tackle the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) life cycle for global corporate legal departments and their law firms and team up with Veristar to deliver services on the "programmatic side" of EDRM.

While Veristar and other vendors support the full EDRM cycle, Panitz said Veralocity differentiates itself with its extreme focus "on metrics to deliver risk reduction, cost avoidance and total spend reduction for both projects and portfolios."
