Craig Carpenter and Dean Gonsowski are known e-discovery industry veterans, with the former most recently the CEO of e-discovery software provider X1 and the latter most recently the chief revenue officer at data mapping and governance company ActiveNav. But now, they’re teaming up to tackle their next venture: growing information governance and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software company Gimmal.

Today, Gimmal announced that Carpenter has joined the company as its newest CEO, while Gonsowski will lead the company’s go-to-market teams, strategy and initiatives as chief revenue officer. While both come from e-discovery roots, Carpenter and Gonsowski said they were interested in the challenges areas of opportunities that information governance currently provides.
