Come this fall, however, attorneys might lose a major trough of data with Apple’s iOS 16 update. Following in the footsteps of popular ephemeral messaging apps like Signal and Snapchat, iPhone users—which number 113 million users in the U.S. alone—will have the opportunity to “recall” and edit recently sent messages.
