E-discovery company Relativity announced Monday that it acquired contract review provider Heretik for an undisclosed sum. In a press release, the company said that Heretik’s solution will be rebranded as Relativity Contracts and integrated into RelativityOne.

Relativity CEO Mike Gamson told Legaltech News that the impetus behind the acquisition was a growing demand for combining both e-discovery and contract review capabilities. “This is a technology that was something we’ve had our eye on for a long time. … We’ve always admired [Heretik’s] work. And we’ve heard from our mutual customers how much they appreciate it. So the decision to bring this internal to Relativity [will] allow us to deliver to our customers that deeply integrated, purpose-built set of contract-intelligence solutions that they’ve been asking for.”
