On Tuesday, document and email management provider NetDocuments announced that it acquired document management system provider Worldox. The company did not disclose financial details of the deal.

In a press briefing, NetDocuments CEO Josh Baxter noted that the acquisition was something he had planned for years, in large part to expand the company’s reach in the small and mid-sized law firm market. “It’s a way for us to accelerate our footprint in small and medium-sized law firms and help them in their journey to the cloud,” he said.
