Data privacy attorneys have had quite the year— from tracking scattered state privacy laws to following various federal regulators' enforcement actions, while also grappling with corporate information governance post-Dobbs.
Through it all, there's been a consistent, though distant hope for a comprehensive federal data privacy bill that might finally offer some universal guidelines for businesses setting up their compliance plans.
