Over the last couple of years, young lawyers have felt the love from the world’s elite law firms. In a frenzied battle for talent, law firms have been tripping over each other to hire the best and brightest, with starting salaries soaring to eye-watering levels.

But as history shows, this level of demand won’t last forever. At some point, a seller’s market will always become a buyer’s market, and law firms will slow their hiring.
