Legal departments increasingly find themselves overworked and stretched on resources, and this was existent even before the COVID-19 pandemic and the current global economic uncertainty. With more on their proverbial plates these days, lawyers don’t want to find themselves spending hours on manual, mundane, and low-value work, instead of adding greater value across the enterprise.

The good news is that more than 60 percent of law departments plan to alleviate their work burden and stress—while increasing collaboration with other parts of the business—over the next three years. But to succeed and get ahead in 2023 and beyond, in-house legal teams must make the right technology investments today.
