Data is the most valuable asset for organizations, and therefore preventing data breaches remains a top priority for security teams. Almost every day a new headline pops up about a huge a data breach resulting in lawsuits or fines, but often, these breaches and resultant fines seem easily avoidable.
However, the sheer amount of new data created every day that companies need to manage and secure threatens to overwhelm even the most advanced security teams. A robust data governance program is vitally important to staying in front of the volume of data being created.
