Generative AI continues to blaze a trail through legal tech. Recently, the text-davinci-003 model, also known as GPT-3.5, that powers OpenAI's ubiquitous chatbot ChatGPT, was applied to CLM tools.

Now, Docket Alarm, the federal and state court docket browsing tool owned by Fastcase, has integrated GPT-3.5 into a new feature that generates document summaries. The company announced the development on Twitter on Monday, after it had "been stealth launched for over a week," according to Michael Sander, the founder of Docket Alarm.

With the new feature, Docket Alarm users can hover their cursor over any document in a Docket Alarm docket sheet to see an automatic, three-bullet-point summary of the document, generated automatically by the text-davinci-003 API from OpenAI.
