Legal TechnologyOn Monday, cloud technology company Merlin Search Technologies announced the release of its Cloud Utility Pricing Program, which is a "first-of-its-kind hourly pricing program and the first Green Computing Initiative for its AI-powered search, investigation and discovery platform," according to the press release.
Via the company's flagship product Sherlock Integrated Search, users can turn their hosting sites on and off with the click of a button. In response, Merlin charges one rate when the site is in use, and a significantly lower price when the site is turned off. When a client is ready to use the site again, it can be turned back on in a matter of minutes. The press release estimates that the Cloud Utility Pricing Program, by virtue of removing the requirement for sites to be active 24/7, can save clients as much as 80% in costs.
