In the legal profession, just like poker, you've got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. But the parallels don't end there, according to Ellen Leikind, the founder and CEO of PokerDivas. In this week's episode, Leikind told us about how she started the organization to teach women how to play poker, so they'd no longer be excluded from the sport du jour in Corporate America.

Leikind said she wanted women to benefit from the strategic learnings from the game, but also the access and contacts women could make playing the game. Fifteen years since its launch, PokerDivas is now a platform for all genders and has been featured at events for a number of law firms and legal industry groups. Leikind said there's a lot lawyers can learn from the game to advance their careers and skill sets, including a lesson she calls "don't piddle away your chip stack."
