From May 15-18, the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) held its annual CLOC Global Institute (CGI) conference at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, for the first time drawing a sold-out crowd of legal and legal operations professionals, technology providers and more. The attendance numbers were in line with the level of excitement surrounding the event.

As one of several first-timers to the CLOC scene, I was keenly interested in seeing where the legal ops function stood on its journey to maturity, and how it was reacting to the current generative AI boom.
