On Tuesday, Patented.ai, founded by serial tech entrepreneur Wayne Chang, announced it has secured $4 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures and including law firm Cooley LLP, according to the press release.
The funding follows the May 2, 2023 release of LLM Shield, an AI-powered tool that protects sensitive legal data and intellectual property from being leaked through LLM-powered chatbots like ChatGPT, Bing, BARD and Claude. LLM Shield stops users from inputting such information into the chatbots in the first instance. The press release also announced that Patented.ai is now offering free access to a personal edition of LLM Shield.
