Generative AI tools have captured global attention and are already making an impact in the legal industry. The potential time savings and added efficiency for lawyers are undeniable—but the promise these new tools carry also comes with potential risks that we should all be aware of.

A recent industry survey revealed some concerning findings: Three out of four lawyers consider AI to be very or somewhat reliable. As a profession, we need to approach this transformative technology like everything else—with a more risk-aware mindset. After all, we’ll be the ones held responsible for any errors AI produces.
