On Wednesday, trial and case management provider Opus 2 announced the launch of Opus 2 Transaction Management, a platform designed to help corporate legal departments and their outside counsel better manage and collaborate on M&A work.

Among other features, Opus 2 Transaction Management, which is built on the same technology infrastructure as the Opus 2 Case Management tool, allows users to track the status of work, analyze documents, flag issues for clients or outside counsel, and upload and utilize law firm-created templates. Much of this can be done through centralized portals, which are firm-branded websites that can limit access rights.
