On Monday, Chicago-based startup Paladin—which seeks to accelerate pro bono legal work by acting as a liaison between legal teams and those with legal needs—announced a partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office for Access to Justice.

The alliance, which is dubbed the "DOJ Pro Bono Portal," will provide DOJ attorneys access to Paladin's platform of pro bono opportunities nationwide.

Kristen Sonday, the co-founder and CEO of Paladin, told Legaltech News that the collaboration comes as a "full circle moment" for her, since she first started her legal career as an international affairs specialist at the DOJ.
