On Wednesday, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), alongside its international division, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), announced the launch of AAAi Lab, a web portal that hosts educational resources for arbitrators and other legal professionals looking to get up to speed on AI and its impact on their profession.

Specifically, the AAAi Lab will include guidance on AI and ADR, a news section, and an events section that updates users on the AAA's own work with AI and hosts related AI webinars, among other resources. The AAA's chief information and innovation officer Diana Didia will take the lead in crafting AI recommendations and guidance for the lab.

In a press release announcing the new web portal, AAA CEO and President Bridget McCormack hinted that the AAAi Lab will be the first of such resources from the AAA. "Our chief legal officer, Eric Tuchmann, and his team are releasing today the first of many lab initiatives that will provide data protocols, guidelines, rules and clauses that affirm our values—integrity, service, process fidelity, innovation and inclusion. We're excited to share webinars and workshops to showcase how the AAA is building Generative AI into the workflow of alternative dispute resolution."
