On Thursday, contract review provider LexCheck announced the launch of LexCheck DealDesk services, which provides contract lawyers to LexCheck clients to help with the more in-depth contract reviews, supplementing the work done by the company’s technology platform.

The LexCheck platform reviews contracts using its AI models to perform initial markups, while also offering LexCheck CoPilot, a generative AI assistant, to perform more complex contract reviews. However, “at that point, if there’s subsequent rounds, you want to jump on a call, right? So [DealDesk services] is when the AI steps back and the person comes in and they will basically knock that out,” LexCheck CEO Gary Sangha told Legaltech News. “So the combination is very powerful. … My view has always been the AI is a calculator, not the terminator.”
