On Tuesday, enterprise legal management (ELM) and contract lifecycle management (CLM) provider Onit released Catalyst Virtual Assistant for Legal Operations, a generative artificial intelligence-powered assistant for in-house counsel.
The virtual assistant is a continuation of the Catalyst brand, which was first introduced in November 20223 with the release of Catalyst for Contracts, the company's generative AI-powered contract management software.
What It Is: Catalyst Virtual Assistant for Legal Operations is a generative AI-powered assistant that can automate tasks within OnitX's Microsoft Outlook plugin. The assistant can populate legal service and contract requests; surface-related matters, contracts, and legal service requests; answer questions based on legal service request, matter, and contract data stored within the OnitX platform; draft follow-up emails and summarize incoming emails; and translate different languages.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
