Bloomberg Law Acquires Project Management Solution Dashboard Legal
Bloomberg Law's acquisition of project management and collaboration solution Dashboard Legal further extends its reach beyond legal research following the company's release of Bloomberg Law Contract Solutions last year.

On Tuesday, Bloomberg Industry Group announced its acquisition of project management and collaboration solution Dashboard Legal. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition comes just short of a year after Bloomberg Law's release of Bloomberg Law Contract Solutions, an artificial intelligence-powered solution for "storing, searching, drafting and negotiating contracts." At the time, the release marked the company's expansion beyond legal research. The addition of Dashboard Legal to Bloomberg Law now further extends the company's legal workflow offerings.
"Our vision, really, over the last several years has been that expertise in data and information is super critical, but it makes less and less sense to have it live by itself as an island, and more sense to bring it to bear where people are actually doing their day-to-day work," Joseph Breda, president of Bloomberg Law at Bloomberg Industry Group, told Legaltech News.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
