Ashurst has rolled out generative AI platform Harvey across all its offices worldwide, providing access to all its lawyers and business services staff.

It comes as several firms look at ways to leverage new AI technology, including Harvery, with whom several law firms have partnered, over the past two years, including A&O Shearman—whose legacy firm A&O pioneered the move in 2022—CMS, Al Tamimi and Co and Macfarlanes.

Harvey is a legal AI platform that uses models trained by and for lawyers. Ashurst said Harvey will help support client work such as document review, due diligence, drafting and market research. Harvey's code is based on that of OpenAI's ChatGPT bot.
