Paxton AI Releases AI Citator—And Publicizes Its Benchmarks on GitHub
Paxton AI seeks to reduce costs and pull back the curtain on an opaque legal research marketplace with its new release.

Legal research startup Paxton AI announced on Monday the release of its new artificial intelligence-powered Citator tool.
The tool will be made available to all tiers of Paxton AI subscribers, except for the free-of-cost tier. Additionally, the company is offering a complimentary seven-day trial of Citator to new subscribers.
In a legal research marketplace that's dominated by a handful of key players, Paxton AI believes that its pricing and new AI-powered tool will allow it to stand out. The company has also released its benchmarks against internal and external frameworks on GitHub.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments.
