Supio, a legal tech startup serving personal injury and mass tort lawyers, announced on Aug. 27 that it raised $25 million in a series A funding round led by Sapphire Ventures, with participation from Bonfire Ventures and Foothill Ventures.

Supio CEO and co-founder Jerry Zhou told Legaltech News that he plans to use the funding to expand his team, which currently sits at 30 members. He predicts the size of his staff could double or triple over the next year, with an emphasis on bringing on more software engineers.

Zhou added that he hopes to take what Supio raises now and in the future and invest in staff to further develop a platform that will reach as many law firms as possible.
