On Wednesday, U.K.-based legal tech startup Genie AI announced that it raised $17.8 million in a series A funding round led by Google Venture and including Kholsa Ventures.

Founded in 2017, Genie AI offers a generative AI assistant that helps automate legal document drafting and contract review and negotiation, among other tasks, for in-house legal departments and law firms. The startup also offers a database of contract templates and clauses.
