Contrary to rumors, the Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey is alive and well. But starting in 2009, we will abolish our rankings, replacing them with a better service: a web-based provider selection tool.

Since 2003, we have published an annual public report covering: 1) estimated size of the electronic data discovery market, based on total expenditures on EDD services and software in the preceding year, 2) predictions for the market for the next three years, 3) key market trends, and 4) a list of top service and software providers. We started with just one list of the top five service providers. By 2008, we had 58 lists.
