Frequent readers of Law Technology News recognize that a constant theme is how our profession is moving from an industry run like private clubs, with taut caste systems, to a corporate model that recognizes that everybody on the team contributes to a firm’s success. Nowhere is that becoming more clear than in litigation practice groups, where traditional roles of support staff are blurring, opening up new opportunities for technologists and paralegals and attorneys to help firms achieve strong results for their clients.
Not surprisingly, it’s not an easy path. In our cover story, “Can You Adapt?” we examine some of the successes and challenges of this evolution.
