This year’s Am Law Tech Survey of the top technology executives of the Am Law 200 law firms included several questions about wireless e-mail devices. With fears of a possible shutdown of Research in Motion Ltd.’s BlackBerry service earlier this year, and new devices such as the Motorola Q hitting the market, this remains an area to watch.
We received responses from 125 firms. When asked if their firm had begun offering a new or different e-mail device since January 2005, 34 percent of the respondents said yes.
