Mr Ball:

I want to comment on your article, because I did not find the reference to outsourcing to lower cost attorneys in Indiana or India appropriate. I grew up in Indiana and have a lot of exceptional and expensive attorney friends who live there. I feel as if the statement was “shot from the hip” and not a researched statement from the actual cost of legal services around the United States.

Also, the suggestion to outsource to legal assistants or Indiana/India attorneys seems to degrade the value of the lawyers’ education and throw them into the same category as legal assistants — devaluing their hardwork and intelligence.

I just wanted to bring this to your attention. What to you may have been just a statement in passing was somewhat offensive to some of your readers. A more careful word choice in the future may be more politically correct and beneficial to your reputation as a writer.
