It’s been about three years since Nuance offered fans of its popular document management software an upgrade, so it’s fair to expect the newly released PaperPort 12 to come with more than a bunch of bug-fixes. But this much-anticipated release adds some truly head-turning enhancements, including a major makeover of the PaperPort user interface, a greatly enhanced PDF viewer and new support for Microsoft’s SharePoint products.
In the decade or so since it was introduced, PaperPort has evolved from the simple document scanning application into a suite of technologies that provide a feature-rich, desktop-based electronic document management environment.
