We opted for an unusual venue: The Galleria at Erieview, a downtown mall on East Ninth Street. By choosing a mall location, rather than a traditional office site, we were able to negotiate favorable financing for 14,000 square feet, and get a blank slate to build out.
These two factors worked together to help us design a training and conference center for use by our members and other organizations. The space includes a multi-purpose training center that can accommodate 150 individuals for classes, and up to 300 for other events, as well as six meeting rooms. We have yet to establish rates for our conference room rentals, however we expect to compete favorably with other local options, such as hotels. Our members will receive a 25 percent discount on the rental rates.
