Unfortunately, midwest weather wasn’t clear on the concept of April. A very loud and nasty thunderstorm prevented me from attending the fourth annual “Consultants and Technologists Dinner,” organized by Ross Kodner and JoAnna Forshee, aboard the yacht Odyssey. From all accounts, it was a delightful evening, but yachts and storms don’t mix for me — I get seasick if I even look at a boat when there’s one drop of precipitation in the skies.
I did get to enjoy a decidedly land-bound lunch with Nancy Karen, C.I.O. of Sidley, Austin, Brown & Wood. It was a blast, and we promise we spent some time talking business!
