We recently expanded our use of online conferencing, which we have dubbed “Webinars,” to include online software training for our customers. The Webinars offer many advantages over traditional classroom training. Among those advantages, they do not require definitive time commitments. Participants can attend from the comfort of their offices or homes, using only a computer, an Internet connection, and a phone.
We set up weekly sessions to provide customer scheduling flexibility. Webinars are also great for those situations where an emergency comes up and a user has to slip out for a few minutes. They can leave the Webinar momentarily – without disrupting the session – simply by minimizing the browser window. Returning is as quick as maximizing the screen.
