California’s Sans Digital (www.sansdigital.com) has debuted four-bay storage devices in portable and rack-mount formats. The portable TowerStore TS4CT and rack-mounted EliteRaid ER104CT feature an embedded RAID chipset. With this, RAID calculations can be offloaded from the computer to the storage unit.
Both units incorporate Firewire 400 and 800 connections, as well as eSATA and USB 2.0 ports.
