The more I investigate the e-discovery industry, the more I find that it is about people (support) and process (repeatable and defensible) and less about technology, which can be segmented into cull, search, and review tools.
Each vendor has a process to cull and search content repositories, albeit what to cull and search can be contentious. With regard to review, many of the review platforms stage a design for review that follows industry practice. If your process does not quite fit that, you can mold it accordingly or take a look at what Kroll Ontrack rolled out at LegalTech West Coast: Ontrack Inview 6.2.
