Global employers, including law firms, continue to send key personnel overseas for assignments that range in length from a day to six months, or more. With increased travel to emerging economic powers, such as Brazil, Russia, India, and China, it’s crucial that travelers have the most current information about visas and other immigration requirements. (And U.S immigration scrutiny has tightened in the past eight years, for reasons well known.)
To help our clients and our own professionals, in April 2009, we launched the first version of our self-help web-based Global Immigration Survival Kit with both public extranet features and password-protected intranet components. Pearl Law Group, based in San Francisco, has six attorneys, two immigration managers, and 23 support staff (case managers, case coordinators, and paralegals). We handle immigration and compliance matters for clients doing business in more than 50 countries.
