Kris Haworth, a computer forensics expert, has announced the launch of The Forensics Group, an electronic investigative services and litigation support firm to be based in Petaluma, Calif. She says she plans to grow it into a 30- to 40-employee operation.

Haworth, who has more than 20 years of experience in computer forensics, points to the dramatic proliferation of electronic data, evolving data technologies, and increasingly complicated regulatory requirements for electronic evidence as her motivations for forming The Forensics Group, and notes:
