Projected costs for the judiciary’s long-anticipated computer network have ballooned to $1.9 billion amid poor planning by and lack of oversight from judiciary leaders, the state auditor concluded in a highly critical report released this morning.
The auditor, Elaine Howle, stopped short of recommending that the state scrap construction of the California Court Case Management System. But she warned that the project is at “substantial risk” of future problems.
