Needles, a practice management software provider, released version 4.8.2 of Needles Case Management Software. The new version adds auditing capabilities, a facility to track and manipulate user-defined report libraries (.pbl), and a conflicts check where the values entered are Social Security numbers.

On any shared system, be it a content management system or a practice management application, it can be critical to know who edited information. For example, an attorney may want to know who changed a court date on his or her calendar but failed to transmit the new date to the client. Needles now has the ability to audit changes to calendar items, as well as keep track of who created or modified the names of parties and providers; and who modified notes for cases, values, and providers. Changes to items in the Case Tab and Value Tab are also tracked.
