Dallas lawyer Cary Schulman and his firm have sued attorney Blake Hyde and his former firm, alleging they slandered and libeled him in e-mails Hyde sent to Schulman’s clients.

Schulman and The Cary Schulman Law Firm allege in the May 10 petition filed in Dallas County’s 44th District Court that Hyde and his former Dallas firm, McCathern Mooty Hyde Grinke, “without right or justification and solely for malicious and unethical purposes, contacted clients represented by Plaintiffs and made false statements regarding Plaintiffs and furthermore, intentionally cast Plaintiffs in a bad and false light.” The plaintiffs also allege that McCathern Mooty “directed the wrongful action, supervised the wrongful actions and otherwise was involved in the wrongful actions.” [See the original petition.]
