E-discovery billing codes are expected to be approved next month by the Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standards organization. The codes are intended to simplify the billing process and help clients understand what they’re buying, LEDES officials said yesterday.
The codes are intended for use with the Uniform Task Based Management System. They’ll be followed by a second phase of codes for activities and expenses, LEDES Oversight Committee President Jane Bennitt explained.
