Congress seems poised to enact patent reform legislation.

Few differences remain between the versions passed in March by the Senate, S. 23, and that passed two weeks ago by the House of Representatives, H.R. 1249. With the political climate for job creation providing a tail wind and evolving case law removing previously contentious stumbling blocks, resolution of the differences between the two bills and submission to the president of a bill approved by both houses will likely occur before Congress takes its summer break.
