John (“Jay”) Brudz has joined Williams Mullen as co-chair of the e-discovery and information governance team in the law firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Williams Mullen is an Am Law 200 firm with 300 attorneys in 12 offices in Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and London.

Brudz was hired away from General Electric, where he served as senior counsel for legal technology. Brudz also founded and led GE’s e-discovery support center that worked with over 1,200 attorneys. In an earlier run with the company, he served as counsel from 1995 through 2000.
