Rawle & Henderson, founded in 1783 and widely considered to be the United States’ oldest continuously practicing law firm, has selected the RainMaker Platinum financial management software for use in its seven offices in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Rawle’s main office is located in Philadelphia.
The 100-attorney firm chose the product from Blue Bell, Pa.-based RainMaker Software because it believes that it offers “enhanced functionality” and “innovative modules” that its earlier system lacked. The controller at Rawle, David Voelker, claims he was attracted to Platinum because he hoped it would “save with our reporting and billing process by reducing redundancies in our day-to-day operations.” Voelker is also looking for the product to streamline corporate processes and to offer beneficial cash flow — and he feels that use of Platinum will accomplish this. With its background in insurance defense, Platinum’s tools will also help match the strict billing guidelines of Rawle’s clients, he believes.
