Some critics insist the programs do not provide enough real-life, technical hands-on training to be meaningful, and say certification is just eye candy that provides little actual value. Others argue that the process takes advantage of vulnerable members of our community and puts them at risk of violating attorney ethics rules. Some even suggest that certification creates a barrier to an industry that desperately needs recruits.
