Is your mobile device helping the federal government keep tabs on you? Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., would like to know, and he wanted National Security Agency GC Matthew Olsen to clarify the issue.

According to The Wall Street Journal‘s Digits blog, Olsen was in front of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on July 26 for a confirmation hearing after being nominated to head up the National Counterterrorism Center. Wyden, a Democrat who is a member of the committee, asked Olsen directly about the issue:
