Recommind, a San Francisco-based provider of predictive information management software, has announced two new agreements with law firms for use of its products. Toronto-based Cassels Brock & Blackwell and Allens Arthur Robinson, of Sydney, Australia, will use Recommind’s Decisiv Search in their offices.

Recommind says its goal for Decisiv Search is the reduction of time and costs involved in conducting research, while improving results quality. The tool uses Recommind’s Context Optimized Relevancy Engine platform to access information across a variety of platforms, the company says. Decisiv Search “utilizes concept-based search technology to connect relevant information in document management, records management, portal, and e-mail systems and myriad other applications and databases with users.” Features include dynamic term highlighting and HTML document preview, in-depth phrase searches, and auto-generated Smart Filters for search refinement.
