Adobe Systems last week released a long-overdue Apple iOS version of the popular Acrobat Reader software.

Owners of the iPhone smartphone and iPad tablet have always been able to read PDF files through the Mobile Safari browser, and Apple added a search feature in iOS 4.2. They can also read the common file format for documents using Apple’s iBooks software, or through aftermarket applications, such as the widely used GoodReader.
